It is in between Douro International Nature Park and Spain that one can still spot some of the animal species that once were spread throughout the entire Iberian Peninsula.

In an untouched landscape, Splendid Evasion invites you to discover deers, birds and wolves on a 5-day route in Nature.

Program

Day1
- > Arrival >
- Meet & greet at Oporto Airport (OPO) and transfer to the region of Trás-os-Montes (approx. 3h).
- Rural Tourism House (BB) accommodation in Douro International Nature Park.
Day2
- > BIRDWATCHING + PRIVATE ENVIONMENTAL CRUISE + WINE TASTING >
- In the early morning birdwatching in the high cliffs (Arribas) that embrace Douro River, habitat for diverse and magnificent bird species.
- After lunch, we will sail the river aboard a small and private environmental cruise, simply relaxing and absorbing the stunning scenery. Top it all with a taste of local wines.
- Dinner at a typical restaurant.
- Rural Tourism House (BB) accommodation in Douro International Nature Park.
Day3
- > OPTIONAL ACTIVITY: DEER WATCHING or HIKE or BIKE RIDE or CANOEING >
- The third day is set up by you, so you can make the most of your time by choosing one of the following experiences:
- OPTION 1) Deer Watching in the Nature Reserve (only available in September and October);
- OPTION 2) Guided Hike on the rural trails of the Nature Reserve;
- OPTION 3) Guided Bike Ride along the Nature Reserve;
- Lunch and dinner in traditional restaurants.
- OPTION 4) River Canoeing on Douro River between the cliffs (available between April and October).
- Rural Tourism House (BB) accommodation in Spain, close to the border.
Day4
- > WOLFWATCHING >
- The 4th day is devoted to the wolfs. Taking advantage of the knowledge of our expert local guide, admire the wolfs in their natural habitat.
- Picnic-style lunch during the activity.
- Farewell dinner at a regional restaurant.
- Rural Tourism House (BB) accommodation in Spain, close to the border.
Day5
- > Departure >
- Breakfast.
- Private transfer to Oporto Airport (OPO) at due schedule (approx. 3h 30min).
- End of our services.
